What SimpleSearch currently uses

SimpleSearch does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

Our built-in usage analytics do not use cookies to identify or track visitors.

Sign-in storage

If you choose to create an account and sign in, SimpleSearch uses browser local storage to maintain your authenticated session and keep you signed in.

This storage is necessary to provide the account and sign-in functionality that you request.

If you remove this information through your browser settings, you may be signed out and may need to sign in again.

Google sign-in

If you choose to sign in using Google, Google and the authentication service may use cookies, browser storage or similar technologies as part of the authentication process.

Google's handling of information is governed by its own privacy information and policies.

Google Fonts

SimpleSearch currently loads fonts from Google-hosted services. This means your browser may connect to Google's servers when displaying SimpleSearch.

Our current application audit did not establish that SimpleSearch uses Google Fonts to set advertising or analytics cookies.

SimpleSearch analytics

SimpleSearch operates its own limited usage analytics.

These analytics record information such as pages viewed, searches, numbers of results and outbound listing clicks.

They do not use analytics cookies and do not record your SimpleSearch user ID, IP address, browser details or device information for analytics purposes.

Advertising

SimpleSearch does not currently use advertising cookies or advertising tracking technologies.

If this changes in the future, we will update this page and introduce any consent controls required before using non-essential advertising technologies.

Managing browser storage

Most browsers allow you to view, block or remove cookies and other stored website data.

Removing storage used by SimpleSearch for authentication may sign you out or prevent some account features from working correctly.

Browser controls vary, so consult the help information provided with your browser for instructions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the technologies used by SimpleSearch change.
